I have to admit that Vanessa did not make it easy for me: attention to detail, multitasking abilities ... really? How the heck do I capture that? Oh well,  my challenge.

As I was shooting Vanessa, I noticed a few attributes she had failed to mention, but that easily jumped out at me. Her flawless skin, for one, which seemed oblivious to the sun, the wind or the cold breeze that suddenly assailed us from all sides. 

I also found that Vanessa is the epitome of chill. Nothing seems to rattle her, and she knows it. But besides this unquestionable serenity, there is another quality she embodies, equally as strong perhaps, but more subtle. I sensed an unshakable strength within her, like that of an oak tree that stands firm against the elements no matter what. It was a powerful feeling, but I wondered if she was aware of it. 

And finally, I couldn't help but admire the way her clothes and that of her boys played so beautifully together and coordinated so well against our backdrops, both natural and man-made. I assumed she had orchestrated it as part of her "attention to detail", but she swore it was a coincidence. At the last minute, she told me, she had grabbed something that harmonized with what the kiddos were wearing and walked out. I believed her, but I also believe that on some level she had envisioned it all without even knowing.
